Job Description: Create a complete or partial assembly of components following the specifications, prepare the components needed for the assembly like compressors, tanks, dryers, or any other piece of equipment required, also prepare all the pieces of plumbing required to connect all the components and create the complete systems free of air leaks.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare the tanks with all the plugs, connections and plumbing required for the tank to be functional for the next steps in the process, this includes all the threads conditionings, proper assembly and final touch-ups required.
- Test, fix & prepare the different dryers for the next steps in the process, this includes leak testing the unit, swap of components when is needed and final validation of the equipment.
- Prepare the compressors with the fluids required, make a visual inspection of all the components to make sure everything is in good working conditions, if not make the swap if the components needed, make the electrical connection of the equipment to setup the proper pressure required for the specific job and make the final inspection of the equipment to eliminate any air leaks, certified the compressor for the next part of the process.
- Be able to use the pipe threader machine to create pieces of pipe of different diameters and lengths to fulfil the requirements of the assembly.
- Using the drill and drill bits & following the schematics or drawings can make the proper holes on the skids in preparation for the assembly process.
- Install the electrical boxes, conduit pipes & components to create the system required for the wiring process of the skids.
- In collaboration with other peers and following all the safety rules be able to assemble the big pieces of equipment on the skid & using the required fasteners fix the components in place
- Study job orders, travelers, and drawings to determine machining, welding, and assembling operations to be performed. Read specifications.
- Inspection/Quality Assurance
- Check subassemblies and inspect finished products for proper quality.
- Inspect products for conformance to quality standards.
- Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning.
- Work with quality team to resolve and solve any quality issues.
- Record information on products inspected and work orders. Mark defective parts or products for repair and bring them to the attention of the supervisor.
- Perform minor adjustments and repairs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings.
- 1 year experience using hand tools & measuring tape.
- Military experience and training with honorable discharge a plus.
- Pass a background and drug screen check.
Physical Demands:
- Use of hands/fingers or feel during normal job requirements.
- Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while working on equipment.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. (and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance.)
- Be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions (extreme heat and cold).
- Required to work in areas of extreme temperatures due to weather conditions and operating equipment.
- Ability to climb various equipment and ladders, lift and carry equipment, tools and components weighing up to 50 lbs.
Hourly Rate: $20.00
