Job Summary:

Odessa College is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented individual to fill the position of Continuing Education Health Careers Customer Service Representative. In this part-time role, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service to students, staff, and community in our health careers continuing education programs. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with program inquiries, registrations, and addressing the needs of our diverse student body.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to students and participants in the health careers continuing education programs. Answer inquiries, resolve issues, and assist with registration processes.
  2. Registration Support: Assist students with the enrollment and registration process, including providing guidance on program requirements, prerequisites, and payment options.
  3. Communication: Effectively communicate program information, schedules, and updates to students and prospective participants through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student information, registrations, and related documentation.
  5. Program Promotion: Actively promote health careers continuing education programs to potential students by explaining the benefits, features, and opportunities they offer.
  6. Administrative Tasks: Provide administrative support to the Continuing Education department, including data entry, filing, and other related tasks.
  7. Scheduling: Assist with scheduling and coordination of classes and programs, ensuring they run smoothly.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and faculty to ensure a seamless and positive experience for students.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework preferred.
  • Customer service or administrative experience, preferably in an educational or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess some experience in the use of computers and office software applications.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of health careers or continuing education programs is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible work hours to accommodate morning, evening, and weekend programs; as needed.

  • Flexible work hours to accommodate occasional evening and weekend hours for Odessa College events.
