The job duties of a barber assistant, involve supporting the licensed barbers and ensuring the smooth operation of the barber shop.

  1. Preparing Workstations:
    • Setting up barber stations with clean towels, capes, and necessary tools before clients arrive.
    • Ensuring all equipment and tools are sanitized and ready for use.
  2. Assisting Clients:
    • Greeting clients and offering them refreshments while they wait.
    • Escorting clients to their barber's station and preparing them for their services (e.g., draping with a cape).
  3. Shampooing and Conditioning:
    • Washing clients' hair and applying conditioners or treatments as directed by the barber.
  4. Maintaining Cleanliness:
    • Sweeping hair clippings from the floor and keeping the work area tidy throughout the day.
    • Cleaning and sterilizing tools, towels, and equipment after each use.
  5. Product Management:
    • Restocking and organizing hair care products and grooming supplies.
    • Assisting with inventory management and notifying senior barbers when supplies need to be replenished.
  6. Observing and Learning:
    • Shadowing and assisting licensed barbers to learn techniques and gain practical experience.
    • Asking questions and seeking clarification on procedures and techniques.
  7. Appointment Scheduling:
