CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY

This is a full-time hourly position reporting to the Latina Entrepreneur Academy. Regular work hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, however extended hours and some weekend work. Must be able to adapt to flexible work schedules as established by management.

JOB TITLE SUMMARY

Latina Entrepreneur Academy will provide education, outreach, and assistance to individuals residing in 17 counties of West Texas to help promote business support.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Available for some evening and weekend work throughout the entrepreneur academy
  • Assist with all walk ins students, clients, and potential students. Follow up with calls and emails.
  • Complete required reports and supportive information and submit to the Program Director & Lead in a timely manner as program requires.
  • Track progress toward goals and regularly communicate with the Program Director & Lead about performance and needed adjustments.
  • Plan outreach programs and events alongside staff
  • Must possess strong analytical and writing skills
  • High degree of accuracy in all work and documentation
  • Capacity to work independently and interdependently
  • Ability to think strategically and use good judgment
  • Comfortable and effective working with culturally diverse groups of individuals
  • Assures that all required paperwork is properly completed and on time
  • Ensures that clients of all races, religions, family backgrounds and cultures are treated with respect and consideration.
  • Assures confidentiality of all clients, families, and co-workers.
  • Must be aware of and comply with the legal and professional responsibilities regarding reporting suspected abuse and neglect, in accordance with the provisions of Federal, State, or local law.
  • Making sure that email from client gets filed in their project folder.
  • Works in a team environment as well as independently with good time management skills and flexibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management, both orally and in writing using correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ability to balance a variety of duties, prioritize, and meet deadlines required.
  • Possesses demonstrated ability of personal computer operations within a Windows Microsoft environment, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Possess the ability to adapt to inclement weather conditions and/or situations.
  • Ability to drive long distances within the Latina Entrepreneur Academy.
  • The noise level within the environment is normally moderate.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and deal effectively with stress.
